The club was very successful in the league, and grew in numbers, still very much following its original approach of recruiting experienced players who could play together for love of the game without regular training. By 2002 it had enough regular players for two mixed squads and a men's team, and was regularly competing in tournaments and friendlies wherever possible. In November 2002 we established the first MNA West London Mixed League at Hayes Manor (in conjunction with Pink Ladies Netball Club) and our squad came 3rd in the 2002 British Indoor Open Championships in Birmingham.
In 2003 we continued to expand, entering more squads in leagues in East (Poplar), Central (Paddington, Islington, Pimlico) and West (Acton) London. We also underwent a major review of our approach as with player numbers now into three figures we needed to restructure to accomodate both the more competitive regulars and the more social occasional players! We formalised our committee and started to try to stabilise our regular squads, whilst still providing opportunities for the more "occasional" participants on our books to continue the MNA tradition of putting ad hoc teams into every event we can find! We mounted our first forays overseas (a minitour of Dublin) and established our annual open tournament. Our teams and players won a string of titles and awards thorugh the year, not least Petra Horvath who was awarded the accolade of Female Sports Personality of the year by InLondon magazine! A very successful year culminated in a big Christmas awards party when we took over a pub for the night... and did what we do best (apart from netball!) :-)
2004 saw us go from strength to strength, and player numbers edging towards the 200 mark! Our Warwick and Dublin minitournaments were established as regular fixtures, and running an average of 6 league squads during the summer. Some old players went, some new ones arrived - and we completed a very creditable "treble" in the Paddington Summer Socialsports league by winning all three of the Competitive, Intermediate and Social divisions!
In 2005 we continued our success, maintaining our league squad numbers over summer and having some very creditable successes on the tournament front. The MNA Saffas lost the annual final at Brean by a single goal, and Recidivists came to the fore taking the league title from Allstars, who nevertheless came home with the trophy on the away leg of the Dublin tournament!
2006 saw a new first for the club - we landed a major kit sponsorship deal! NetballzoneUK agreed a massive deal which saw the club's teams all turning out in fancy new gear. We again came very close to a win at Brean, with Recidivists this time making the final and losing by only 2, and they and Allstars continued to dominate the Paddington leagues winning all four sessions, and along with PPS racking up our first a 1-2-3 result in the top division in Summer!
