These have round or oval cells which multiply by budding! They form colonies!

Yeasts are responsible for:

- Thrush,

- Candida infections, and

- Meningitus

 

Moulds grow as filaments, and form and intertwined network called a mycelium!

The genus "Aspergillus" affects immunocompromised people who inhale spores.

They cause:

- Lung infections, and

- "Aspergillosis", a large mycelial mass.
