Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in History of Early Modern Europe

UCL History is recruiting an Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in History of Early Modern Europe for the period September 2024 to 31 August 2025 (in the first instance). The postholder will be teaching at the undergraduate levels; act as personal tutor to a number of undergraduates; take on an institutional citizenship role within the department; and undertake administrative and management duties as required and supported by the Head of Department.

Applicants must have a doctorate in Early Modern European History; previous experience of teaching undergraduate students in this period and specialism; previous experience of small group teaching; a commitment to high-quality teaching, and fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.

We are seeking a Teaching and Learning Administrator to join the Professional Services team in UCL History. Under the direction of the Senior Teaching and Learning Administrator and the Teaching and Learning Manager, and in conjunction with relevant academic staff, the postholder will provide specialist administration to the designated teaching programmes, ensuring effective procedures are documented and adopted for dealing with all aspects of its administration. This post will assist in achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students, and staff relating to the designated programmes and beyond.
