Do you want to connect with industry leaders and discover cutting edge technologies in the world of High Performance Computing (HPC)? Do you use HPC facilities to further your research and want to share your findings with a global audience? Are you helping to build the future of supercomputing?

Held between 17 - 22nd November 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA; Super Computing 2024 (SC24) is the international conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis. This year's theme is: "HPC Creates" . This is an opportunity for UCL to showcase the research, innovation and creativity that exists in the world of high-performance computing.

A programme for the conference can be found via the SC24 website

Aside the conference, we will be running an exhibit stand to showcase a range of projects from across UCL;  it will provide us with a hub for UCL attendees to facilitate networking, discussions and meetings.  The stand will be led by UCL Centre for Advanced Research Computing (UCL ARC) in collaboration with colleagues from across UCL.

We will be sharing updates and insights during and after the conference.

Interested?  There are many ways that you can get involved:

  • Apply to attend SC24 on behalf of UCL. This includes contributing to developing content for showcase, supporting the booth during the conference e.g. giving demonstrations, presentations and developing outputs afterwards. Please only apply if you are willing to participate widely as part of UCL's team. Priority will be given to those with:
    • projects included in the showcase,
    • colleagues who support digital research (e.g. research software engineering, research computing, research data, Research IT)
    • early career researchers who are interested in pursuing a career as a research technology professional
  • Not going to be there in person? Submit your project to be considered for the showcase. We will curate a list of projects for the showcase. You will work with us to prepare posters, software demos or other video presentation of your project and share your story with the UCL delegation.

  • Attending SC24 (self-funded)? Share how you are contributing to SC24. We would like to raise the profile of how you, and UCL collectively, is contributing across SC24 whether you are attending in-person or virtually e.g. workshops, tutorials, talks, etc.

For all opportunities, please complete the application form by Wedneday 31st July, 12 noon.  To reflect the diversity within the university's HPC communities, we particularly welcome female applicants and those from an ethnic minority background.
