Closed: Turing Fellow Call 2021-22
18 May 2021
The Alan Turing Institute has announced its 2021 call for Turing Fellows, which closes on 23 June.
***THIS CALL IS NOW CLOSED***
Each Turing Fellowship is an unfunded position, a year in duration, starting in October 2021. During their term, Fellows are expected to contribute to new ideas, drive collaborative projects and provide research expertise which is actively connected with the Institute and its network of universities and industry partners.
Fellows can benefit from the Turing’s vibrant, interdisciplinary and collaborative research community. Other benefits include access to a physical collaborative working and meeting space within the British Library with no disciplinary boundaries, travel and expenses for Turing related activities and the recognised association and title from the UK’s established national data science and AI institute.
Turing Fellows are established scholars with proven research excellence in data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field whose research would be significantly enhanced through active involvement with the Turing network of universities and partners. The call is open to mid-to-senior career researchers and they should be able to show that they have the full support of their host Department or Division at UCL.
In addition to new applicants, the call also includes those current fellows whose term ends on 30 September 2021.
Applicants and their departments are advised to read our advice on the process before applying, which is contained in this document.
This document is accessible only to people with a UCL email account and would also be helpful for support staff in the department to review, along with the guidance provided on the Turing website.
