UCL alum and former Warner Bros producer, Rick Senat, will return to UCL for this special edition of the UCL Connect event series.

Rick will join us for an evening at the One Pool Street Cinema, UCL East, where he will talk about his career at Warner Bros as well as share details of some of the more recent projects he has worked on as a board member and executive producer. The conversation will be curated by Dr Temenuga Trifonova, Associate Professor in Creative Arts and Humanities at UCL.

Whether you are a student interested in pursuing a career in the film industry, already work in the industry, or just have a keen interest in all things film, this event is open to all.

About the Speaker

Rick Senat

Executive Producer and Board Member at Drylab Media Tech & Mad Dog 2020 Casting

A 50-year film industry veteran, Rick was a Senior Business Affairs Executive for Warner Bros for 25 years. He has worked with many prominent filmmakers and is associated with several important films including the Harry Potter franchise, Greystoke, Batman and Superman. He has advised productions such as Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban, Troy, Alfie, Sahara, Batman Begins, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, Nanny McPhee, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Doom, Derailed, Kinky Boots, and many other well-known movies.

A graduate of University College London, he is a solicitor and a visiting professor at Lincoln University. He has served as vice chair of the British Film Institute, sits on various boards and for several years was a director of the legendary British film company Hammer Productions.

Recent productions as Executive Producer include “A Casual Vacancy” for the BBC and HBO, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald” for Warner Bros, and “Blithe Spirit” in 2020 and “The Midwich Cuckoos” in 2022, both for Sky.
