Congratulations to Lizzie Evens on her successful viva

We are delighted to announce the successful PhD examination of our student Lizzie Evens, who recently passed her viva with no corrections. The title of Lizzie's thesis is Regulating Women: Female Professionals and Gendered Surveillance in the Late Nineteenth- and Early Twentieth-Century United States. Lizzie, who worked under the supervision of Professor Jonathan Bell and Dr Nick Witham, now plans to start medical school at Newcastle University.
