The Stiances Archaeological Project is an ongoing community project allowing primary school pupils the chance to take part in an archaeological 'dig' close to home. First run in 2010, the fifth season was completed in June 2022, and it is hoped to hold another 'Archaeology Week' in 2025. The project was the winner of the Council for British Archaeology/Marsh Award for Youth Archaeology Project of the Year in 2022.
