Job Vacancy: Research Associate for the 'Big Picnic' project

The Institute of Archaeology currently has a vacancy for a Research Associate (part-time, Ref.

EC logo : 1710647). The deadline for applications is 23 February 2018.

Applications for a part-time Research Associate for the EC-funded 'Big Picnic' research project are now being sought. The post-holder will be required to participate in, and contribute to, all elements of the project, including the project design and the development and update of Quality Management Plan.

The post-holder will also conduct on-going reviews of leading edge literature on TBI practice approaches and projects carried out across different settings, and current related methodologies.

The post is available for an immediate start and is funded until 30 April 2019 in the first instance.

The successful candidate should have a PhD* in Science Communication or Science/Environmental Education or Heritage/Museum Studies or equivalent research experience in science rich settings.

They will have a background or work experience in a science-rich informal learning setting (ILS). The successful candidate will also display evidence of the ability to work with media exhibits and/or activities in ILS. An understanding of co-creation/participatory approaches in informal science education/science communication/museum education would be desirable.
