David Wengrow in conversation with film director Francis Ford Coppola

David Wengrow will join Francis Ford Coppola for a special event to mark the London screening of his latest film Megalopolis.

David Wengrow has been invited to take part in a special presentation, with an extended introduction to the film Megalopolis, in advance of a screening at the BFI Imax in London today (Thursday 3 October 2024).

David's co-authored volume (with the late David Graeber), The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity, has been named as one of the inspirations for Francis Ford Coppola's film Megalopolis which follows an idealistic architect with utopian dreams for New York City.

In The Dawn of Everything, David Graeber and David Wengrow describe three basic forms of human freedom: to move away, to disobey, and to transform the social order.
