9 Questions with...Tamar Murdock

Meet Tamar, who has joined as the Faculty Education Administrator for the Joint Faculties. Tamar shares two mouth-watering meals he would eat every day for the rest of his life!
1. Hello! Tell us a little bit about yourself, and what you do at UCL.
I currently work in the Faculty of Art and Humanities. My role is Faculty Education Administrator. Before joining the Faculty, I previously worked for Library Services. Outside of my work life, I am very family oriented. I spend a lot of time with my kids and take part in community activities.
2. What are you most looking forward to working on over the coming months?
Well, this is a good question. I am relatively new to this amazing team, so my answer to this question would be everything.
3. What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
Well, I enjoy dismantling things and then putting them back together. I would probably be in real estate, buying damaged homes, and renovate them. Like a house under the hammer on TV.
4. What are your main interests outside work?
Attending to my children's every need. Playing football and going to the gym.
5. Where would you like to visit once our way of life has returned to normal?
Egypt, Ghana and Mexico
6. If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Jamaican Patty and jerk Chicken.
7. Who or what inspires you most?
My Kids inspires me to be a better person each day.
8. What’s your favourite city, and why?
Kingston Jamaica, its simplicity
9. What did you learn about yourself from lockdown?
I found out I have OCD after tidying up after my kids during the pandemic. Now its out of control.
