2025 entry
For applications submitted in the 2025 UCAS cycle (i.e. from 1 September 2024 to 31 January 2025) for entry in either September 2025 or September 2026, please refer to the information below.
A Levels
Standard offer: A*AA. See the list of preferred UK GCE A Levels for each pathway requirement.

Major pathway requirements:
- for Cultures, at least one essay-based arts/humanities subject.
- for Health and Environment, Biology or Chemistry and one further science or social science subject.
- for Sciences and Engineering, Mathematics and one further science or maths subject.
- for Societies, at least one social sciences subject.
In addition, GCSE English Language and Mathematics at a minimum grade B / 6 are required for all programmes.
Applicants who are not offering a mix of arts/humanities/social science and science/maths subjects will be asked to take an online arts or sciences test to determine their suitability for the pathway they're applying for. Details of this will be sent out after the initial assessment of their application.
IB Diploma:
Standard offer: 39 points with a score of 19 in three higher level subjects, with no higher level score below 5. The specific subject requirements for each pathway are shown below.
Contextual offer: 36 points with a score of 17 in three higher level subjects, with no higher level score below 5. The specific subject requirements for each pathway are shown below. More about contextual offers
Major pathway requirements:
- for Cultures, at least one essay-based higher level subject from Groups 1, 2 or 6. If all higher level subjects are from groups 1, 2 or 6, then grades 6,6 in two standard level subjects from groups 4 or 5 are also required.
- for Health and Environment, Biology or Chemistry at grade 6 plus one subject from Groups 3, 4 or 5, both at higher level. If all higher level subjects are from groups 4 or 5, then grades 6,6 in two standard level subjects from groups 1, 2, 3 or 6 are also required.
- for Sciences and Engineering, Mathematics at grade 6 plus one further subject from Groups 4 or 5, both at higher level. If all higher level subjects are from groups 4 or 5, then grades 6,6 in two standard level subjects from groups 1, 2, 3 or 6 are also required.
- for Societies, at least one essay-based higher level subject from Group 3. If all higher level subjects are from groups 1, 2, 3 or 6, then grades 6,6 in two standard level subjects from groups 4 or 5 are also required.

Please note applicants should indicate their chosen major pathway in the space provided on the Arts and Sciences Questionnaire you will receive after you have submitted your application.
