From digital twins to smart cities to artificial intelligence, the built environment sector is filled with buzzwords, abstractions and snapshots of truth about how technology impacts the world we live in. In this seminar, Will Squires will unpack his career, exposing some of the mistruths, some of the brilliant things happening in the sector, and trying desperately not to get caught up in jargon or things that aren't true, providing a slice of life experience from a leading consultancy driving forward the digital transformation of the built environment.

Digital Lead of Cities, Development & Aviation at Atkins
Will leads Digital for Atkins Cities & Development & Aviation businesses. An odd mixture of engineer, data scientist, software developer, journalist and business strategist, Will leads a cohort of future thinking projects in the infrastructure sector focused on deploying technology to the sector's most interesting challenges. Will got his MSc degree (Distinction) in Smart Cities and Urban Analytics in 2015–2017.
