7 May 2021
We are delighted to announce that Dr Richard Milton has been selected to receive a RAMP Early Career Investigator Award (RECIA) from the Royal Society. The award was confirmed this week by Sir Adrian Smith.
RAMP (Rapid Assistance for Modelling the Pandemic) is a voluntary initiative of the Royal Society. Richard worked on the initiative in CASA to support the Urban Analytics work under RAMP which was organised as part of the Alan Turing Institute.
The Royal Society has used its convening power to support efforts to model the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and guide the UK’s response. The goal of RAMP was to enhance modelling capacity in time to create a clearer understanding of different exit strategies from the current lockdown.
