DPU co-led research on micro-mobility and transport-related social exclusion awarded funding
14 March 2022
Congratulations to Dr Daniel Oviedo, whose research on e-scooters and transport related social exclusion (initially funded by UCL Collaborative Social Science Domain) has now expanded due to additional support of £10,000 from Innovate UK.
The initiative stems from Dr Daniel Oviedo’s participation in ForuMM; a collaborative platform created by Innovate UK and the Connected Places Catapult to steer the conversation about micro-mobility in the country.
This award aims to expand and consolidate the network of actors interested in micro-mobility and help embed social inclusion in policy debates and agendas related to micro and app-based mobility.
Among other activities, the funding will enable a Workshop on 30th March 2022, which will gather diverse actors from academia, civil society and advocacy groups, industry providers, authorities and policy makers.
