This project tests innovative open-source and community based anaerobic digestion technologies; and assesses the practical effect of the digestate as a fertiliser for crops. So far, my focus has been to design the food-growing trials. We are working with several UCL students to conduct the trials at Bentham’s Farm, comparing the yields for six different crops with and without digestate. Another deliverable is a contribution to the UCL Symposium Global Food Security: Adaptation, Resilience and Risk, 9-10 November 2015
