UCL-Energy Deputy Director Professor Neil Strachan Appointed to Catapult Board

UCL-Energy Deputy Director Professor Neil Strachan has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Energy Systems Catapult.
Of his appointment to the Board, Prof. Strachan said: “I am really excited to be joining the Board of the Catapult at such an early stage in its development. I am looking forward to working across the sector to support and enhance the UK’s energy networks.”
Nick Winser, the Chair said: “I am thrilled that Neil will be joining the Catapult as a Non-Executive Director. His impressive research skills and experience in the energy arena will be a great addition to the Board.”
In addition to being deputy director at UCL-Energy, Neil is the Professor of Energy Economics and Modelling as well as being the principal investigator of the Whole Systems Energy Modelling Consortium (wholeSEM), the UK’s ground-breaking, multi-institution initiative to develop, integrate and apply state-of-the-art energy models.
Neil will join the Board on 1st April 2016.
