UCL-Energy researchers hold UK/Brazil Energy Epidemiology workshop

7 June 2018

Two day workshop on ‘Energy Epidemiology: using building data to support energy and carbon policy in Latin America’ held in Sao Paulo in partnership with Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina

Brazil

The aim of the workshop was to develop strategies that enable a low carbon transition of the Brazilian building sector towards improvements in energy performance and energy efficiency through better access and use of energy and building stock data.  The workshop, which included 10 UK ECRs and 25 Brazilian ECRs, along with senior academic and government experts identified and developed mechanisms to address the information required to support a low carbon transition of the Brazilian non-domestic building stock.

The workshop was supported by a Researcher Links grant, ID [2017-RLWK8-10616 ], under the Brazil-UK partnership. The grant is funded by the UK Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and delivered by the British Council.
