About the role

The successful candidate will be expected to primarily contribute to (a full task specification can be viewed below in the Job Description): • Teaching with -among others- the dual degree programme but also for other MSc and BSc modules, undertake supervision of students, including undergraduate and postgraduate level. • Research with -among others- the develop a research agenda related to data analytics and machine learning in energy field and urban systems. This includes successful fundraising for research and the productin of research outputs at the level required for inclusion in the Research Excellence • Engagement and networking activities with the undertake and promote scholarly work which has a positive impact on society, including engaging with multiple audiences such as academics, businesses, policy makers and wider society and building links with a range of stakeholders to ensure research activity is connected to societal needs and has potential to deliver impact. • Management and citizenship roles with -among others- undertaking citizenship roles within EI and BSEER as required and contributing to initiatives to promote equality, diversity and inclusion in research and teaching. About you

We are looking for a highly motivated Lecturer with great analytical and modelling skills, to extend the state of the art in Urban Systems Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning, generate methodological contributions in the field of urban systems dynamic demand forecasting and network modelling and support teaching, external engagement as well as management and citizenship activities of the Energy Institute.
