UCL IEDE are looking to appoint new teaching fellows and one lecturer Engineering and Architectural Design.

Faced with the challenges of health, well-being, productivity, comfort, energy use and climate change, the UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering’s mission is to generate and exchange knowledge in the sustainable development of buildings and the urban environment and to train the future leaders in the field.
Lecturer in Engineering and Architectural Design
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer to play a key role in our research and teaching programmes. The successful candidate will act as a module leader, undertake student supervision and possibly act as UCL IEDE coordinator for our MEng Engineering and Architectural Design programme. In addition, the post-holder will engage in funded research projects and publications in one or more of the Institute’s research areas.
The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7/8. The salary range will be Grade 7: £38,581 - £41,864 per annum. Grade 8: £43.023 - £50,753 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The position will be available from 1 August 2018.

Teaching Fellows in Engineering and Architectural Design
There are a number of part time teaching positions available on the MEng Engineering and Architectural Design programme. Post holder(s) will be required to teach their appointed subject to students on prescribed modules at specific times of year. Posts are available to candidates with relevant expertise and relevant previous teaching experience at UCL or a university of equivalent status. Relevant areas of expertise include:
- Building Systems Physics
- Light & Lighting
- HVAC Design & Engineering
- Building Controls
- Building Acoustics
- Building Performance Simulation
- Machine Learning
This appointment will be Part Time: 3.65-7.3 hours per week (10% - 20% FTE)
The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £38,581 - £41,864 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
