Lara and Tan's experiences

Lara and Tan were the 2017/18 awardees of the prestigious IEDE Prof Llewelyn-Davies MSc Scholarship in Health, Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings. We interviewed them back in 2017 when they were  studying with us.

We caught up with Lara again since graduating, she is currently completing a PhD at UCL and she sad of the Master's:
"I have always had an interest in how different spaces impact the people that inhabit them, and the MSc in Health, Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings enabled me to delve deeper into this field and discover the growing world of research around this subject. Students are given the opportunity to see how the issue of health and wellbeing is being tackled from a variety of perspectives in different environments - from workplaces to hospitals and even at the city scale. I really valued having this breadth and hearing from experts that have focused their work on each of these areas. The advisory board is another really fantastic aspect to the MSc. They demonstrate how important this field of research is, and provide industry examples of how these practices and issues are thought about and integrated. Plus it’s great for making connections!”

Honda's experience

Honda Lu

“There are very few educational degrees relating to healthy buildings in Taiwan, and there are very few professionals specialising in health, wellbeing and sustainable buildings. According to the vice president of IWBI ASIA, I am the first in Taiwan to graduate from a research institute specialising in healthy buildings. This makes my resume very competitive.”
