In 2023, we launched the BSP New Research Strategy (2023- 2029). This strategy outlines our research mission, values and strategic objectives. We implement it through a set of key principles and measurable indicators; these provide guidance for delivering key actions at school level, as well as supporting academic staff research activities and career development.

BSP Research Mission Statement

The BSP Strategy is designed to foster a culture that values and supports world-leading research and impact-led activities.

Our collective aim is to sustain and enhance the BSP’s position as an international world-leading centre for research on the built environment in the fields of urban planning, urban design and real estate.

The purpose of the strategy is to ensure that BSP research excellence thrives within an inclusive and dynamic research setting.
