The Development and Use of Design Codes in the UK

The Development and Use of Design Codes in the UK was Funded by the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE) in 2004.

Overview

This project, led by Tibbalds Planning & Urban Design, encompassed a stocktake of the use and utility of design coding in the UK and overseas. The work has fed into an 18-month pilot programme exploring the role and value of design codes in greater depth.
