Alexander is a student in the 2022-23 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Alex is a social researcher who has worked for the past decade in measurement, evaluation and learning within philanthropy. He currently works for a private grantmaking foundation, but in the past has worked as an opinion pollster, consultant and for campaigning charities. He is interested in the potential of philanthropy - and civil society more broadly - in pursuing public value, and exploring how it can act both co-operatively and antagonistically towards the state in shaping and influencing public policy.
