Andrea Menapace

Andrea Menapace is a student in the 2022-23 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).

Andrea began his career as a humanitarian worker before becoming a consultant and researcher on human rights, democracy and rule of law and co-founder and executive director of the Italian Coalition for Civil Liberties and Rights (CILD). He is a member of the Council of Europe's expert group on NGO law and co-founder and president of the Liberties. He is the co-director and lecturer at the University of Roma Tre’s post-graduate diploma in NGOs and Human Rights. He previously worked for the Transparency & Accountability Initiative in London and the Open Government Partnership. He graduated in law from the University of Trento.
