Catherine Cooke is a student in the 2021-22 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Catherine worked for the Bermuda Community Foundation and the Bermuda Department of Human Affairs on projects related to gender inequality in Bermuda before moving into the private sector, focusing on human capital consulting and fund administration. However, she concluded that her passion lay in social change and spent the last year completing an MPhil at Cambridge University. Her empirical data collection and analysis on gender-based violence in Bermuda was the first of its kind to be done on the island and she hopes to continue working in the field of research and policy change in the area of gender inequality.
