About the DPI Map:

In a world where national-scale digital infrastructure is rapidly being built, understanding the current state of DPI deployments is more critical than ever. However, there has been a significant lack of accessible, comprehensive information on the status of these deployments globally. The DPI Map addresses this gap, offering the first comprehensive view of DPI deployments across the world. This project, led by IIPP at UCL and supported by Co-Develop, provides an invaluable toolkit for those involved in building and analysing DPI.

The DPI Map offers a global dataset that includes the current status of:

  • Digital Identity systems
  • Digital Payment systems
  • Data Exchange systems

At the launch event, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore a repository of DPI deployments, detailing the technologies and governance models in use.
  • Access a measurement framework to evaluate the real-world impact of DPI systems on economic growth, social inclusion, and innovation.
  • Gain insights into regional and component trends through an interim analysis of the "state of DPI" across various countries.

 Who Should Attend?

The DPI Map is designed for:

  • Researchers studying how DPI interacts with broader social and economic frameworks.
  • Policy-makers and Governments looking to assess or communicate their DPI journey.
  • Builders involved in implementing DPI projects at federal or state levels.
  • Advocates seeking actionable tools to ensure DPI development remains secure, inclusive, and trusted.

Even if you’re simply curious about DPI and want to understand its potential, this event will provide valuable insights into how DPI is reshaping governance and public service delivery worldwide.

Scope and Aim: By attending the launch, you’ll gain access to:

  • DPI Deployment Data: A comprehensive look at digital identity, payments, and data exchange systems across 210 countries.
  • Measurement Framework: An innovative tool for assessing the real-world impact of DPIs based on key metrics.
  • State of DPI Insights: An interim report detailing regional trends and the status of digital infrastructures globally.

Join us to explore how digital public infrastructure is transforming nations and how this tool can help stakeholders build better, together.
