Giasmin Chilmi is a student in the 2020-21 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Giasmin was raised in Greece and Italy and an attendee of four international schools receiving a BA and MA in German Studies (London) and Intermediate French. She has worked in merchant banks, an academic department, a charitable trust, a sustainable buildings consultancy and as a translator of academic papers. Giasmin has an adult son and has some insight of both the private and state school experience in London and the class divisions that engenders. Giasmin is interested in the progressive movements in Greece, Italy, Germany and France and aims to work with organisations that challenge the current societal model that allows the few to destroy the planet and exploit the many, especially women and refugees.
