Mahmoud El Shabba is a student in the 2022-23 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Mahmoud is an aspiring academic and civil servant who hopes to bring the spirit of co-design into the realm of policymaking in Egypt. Having studied Political Science, Sociology, and Economics at the undergraduate level, Mahmoud has a deep interest in contemporary social issues particularly in the SWANA region. Prior to joining the programme, Mahmoud held positions at private sector firms, news and media publications, and non-profit organisations across Egypt. In his time outside lectures and seminars, Mahmoud enjoys playing music with friends, reading, and spending time in nature.
