Brain Imaging
- Electroencephalography (EEG)
- Near-infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS)
The Gowerlabs NTS fNIRS system is a state-of-the-art near-infrared spectroscopy system developed by UCL’s Biomedical Optics Research Laboratory (BORL). Near-infrared spectroscopy is a method that uses near-infrared light to measure change in concentration of oxygenate and deoxygenated haemoglobin in the blood. We use it in combination with the Easycap Headgear to measure hemodynamic activity in the neonatal brain.
