Abstract: There is great interest in the potential role of GLP-1 receptor agonists as disease modifying approaches for neurodegenerative diseases. Data from epidemiology, preclinical work in the lab as well as early clinical trial data all support a potential role for this class of agents, particularly in Parkinson’s disease. The latest data and plans going forward for Exenatide in Parkinson’s disease will be summarised in this presentation.
