Hernán joins us from the Max Planck Institute for Developmental Biology in Tuebingen, Germany, where he did a postdoc integrating plant evolutionary genomics and ancient DNA before going on to establish his own group in 2014.
Hernán uses a retrospective approach to address a broad range of questions in the evolution of plants and their pathogens.
