Dr Sandra Martelli appointed Professor (Teaching), effective 01 October 2024

UCL Centre for Integrative Anatomy member, Sandra Martelli, has just been appointed Professor (Teaching), effective 01 October 2024. Up to now, she has been acting as the Associate Director for the Division of Biosciences Undergraduate Education.

We are delighted that our colleague, Sandra Martelli, has just been appointed Professor (Teaching). Sandra is a higher education expert in undergraduate higher education curriculum design, and up to now has been acting as the Associate Director for the Division of Biosciences Undergraduate Education at the UCL Faculty of Life Sciences.

Sandra is also an internationally recognized researcher in the field of evolutionary anatomy and the postnatal ontogeny of humans and living hominoids (great apes and apes).

Originally graduating from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, Sandra Martelli gained her PhD here at UCL in 2005, and followed it up with an MA in 2015. She joined the UCL Department of Cell & Developmental Biology, of which the UCL Centre for Integrative Anatomy is a part, in 2010.
