EEC local therapy working groups

The EEC aims to bring together researchers and medical professionals from across Europe and beyond to improve survival in Ewing sarcoma.

Collaboration is vital in a rare cancer like ES and the EEC facilitates the sharing of knowledge, expertise and resources.

Harmonisation of therapies and procedures is important so that all patients receive the best care and so the EEC Executive invited members of the ES community to set up local therapy working groups to address this.

In 2021, the EEC Surgery Working Group and the EEC Radiation Oncology Working group were established with members representing many European countries and co-operative groups.

The EEC Radiation Oncology Group is chaired by Beate Timmermann and Line Claude.

The EEC Surgery Group is chaired by Dimosthenis Andreou and Michael Parry.

Registration now open for virtual EEC network meeting

Join us for the virtual EEC Network Meeting (on Zoom) on Tuesday 21 January 2025, 09:00 to 15:00 GMT. The meeting will include trial updates, reports on progress from the EEC working groups, a patient advocacy session and flash talks from early career researchers. Register with Eventbrite.

Apply to present a flash talk at the EEC meeting on 21 January

Are you an early career researcher working in the field of Ewing sarcoma? Would you like to present your research at the virtual EEC Network Meeting (on Zoom) on Tuesday 21 January 2025? If so, please complete this form by Sunday 1 December 2024 for a decision by 15 December 2024. The call is open to junior scientific and clinical researchers (i.e. not holding substantive career posts) working on Ewing sarcoma and the format will be up to six, three-minute flash talks, followed by a Q&A session.
