Equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) principles and policies are embedded into our UCL BHF CRE. In line with UCL core values and the recent BHF ‘Igniting change’ EDI strategy, the UCL BHF CRE will champion inclusivity, diversity and open mindedness. We will develop a world-class interdisciplinary cardiovascular science workforce at all career stages to act as exemplars through their academic and professional endeavours by drawing on the vast expertise of UCL EDI community and human resources. By the end of the 5-year CRE, we want >90% of people in the network to agree that: “The CRE creates an environment where people of diverse backgrounds can succeed”, with no differences by characteristics.
