Celebrate Women in Engineering - Researchers event

The event will be held in person at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Roberts Building, Room 309.

In the first part of the workshop we will have short talks from women PDRAs discussing their research work and thoughts on their experience as researchers. e.g. issues encountered and what has helped.

For the second part of the workshop there will be a panel discussion.

In a recent Athena Swan application, it emerged that the percentage of women in our Department reduces significantly at the PDRA level and above.

We would like to use this event to start a discussion on the causes and possible solutions.

We will discuss further these issues during the panel session.

The event will be open to all and we very much hope that everyone, not just women, can attend and contribute to the panel discussion.
