Quiet Rooms at GOS ICH

Staff, students and visitors can access dedicated quiet rooms at GOS ICH. Find out more about rooms available and where they are located below.

Multifaith Prayer Room

The Multifaith Prayer Room is located on the ground floor of the PUW at 30 Guilford Street (Room G01), and is available for religious observance, prayer and a quiet space only. The prayer room is not a bookable space.

Wellbeing Room

The Wellbeing and Quiet Room is located on the ground floor (Room G02) and is available for meditation, mindfulness, a quiet space and wellbeing activities. The room does not need to be booked for personal use.

The Wellbeing Room can be booked for organised wellbeing activities. To enquire about booking the space, please email ICH.QuietRooms@ucl.ac.uk.

We currently offer Lunchtime Yoga sessions every Thursday. To find out more and to book your place, please visit our Eventbrite page.

When using the rooms,

  • Please respect the space and leave it how you would wish to find it.
  • Please remove your shoes before entering and place them in the shelves provided
  • Please do not use your mobile phone or laptop inside the room
  • Please do not eat or drink in the room, except for bottled water.
  • Please do not store your personal possessions in the room. Any personal possessions left in the room will be handed to reception. The storage in the room can be used for communal items, e.g yoga mats, cushions, religious items, etc.

The rooms should not be used as a common room, study space or meeting room.

- For study space, please use the library on the second floor.

- For social space, please use the Winter Garden or the ICH Refectory.

- For breastfeeding or expressing facilities, please use the Cygnet Room. For more information, please visit our Cygnet Room webpages.
