This workshop is designed by and for early career researchers (ECRs) in Children and Young People’s Mental Health (CYP MH) at UCL. It is co-organized by UCL’s committee of ECRs in CYP MH and the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health Paediatric Mental Health Strategic Initiative. It is supported by the CYP MH Strategy Implementation Special Interest Group.

The agenda for the workshop includes:
Introduction, panel discussion, and Q&A
Tracy Dos Santos, Strategic Research Facilitator at UCL Life and Medical Sciences, will provide an overview of funding opportunities and support available at UCL, and chair the panel discussion and Q&A.
Dr. Becca Lacey, Dr. Kaili Rimfeld, and Prof. Delan Devakumar will then share insights from their experiences reviewing grants and fellowships in the area of CYP MH. Their short talks will be followed by a Q&A with pre-submitted and live questions from ECRs.
Practical workshop
Dr. Hazel Marzetti will provide a hands-on practical session for ECRs, offering strategies to overcome various challenges in the grant preparation process.
