Information about the Special Issue of Journal of Public Transportation

How does this work?

The selection process for this special issue will adopt the following procedure.

• First, those who wish to submit their manuscript to this special issue should express their interest at the abstract submission stage.
• Then, the authors of selected quality submissions to TransitData 2024 will receive feedback and suggestions for improvement of their work from members of the symposium’s steering committee. The feedback and suggestions will be based on their presentation during the symposium, and the authors will receive them shortly after the symposium.
• The authors will then be invited to revise and finalise their work, and submit their manuscripts to Journal of Public Transportation Submissions.
• Their papers will be assessed by reviewers selected by the journal, including the reviewers for the presentation at the symposium.

Early career researchers are particularly encouraged to use this scheme: they can obtain useful feedback at the conference and then submit their work to the special issue. 

Thank you for submitting abstracts with this journal option. The first round of selection has been conducted and the authors of the selected abstracts have been informed. We are sorry that due to the limited numbers of available slots in the journal and of the available reviewers, only 20 abstracts have been shortlisted while many submissions expressed interest in this option.
