Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

Athena Swan Gold Award 2024

UCL Computer Science has received the Athena Swan Gold Award, recognising our deep commitment to advancing gender equality within Higher Education.

We are proud to be the first computer science department in the UK to achieve this prestigious honour.

Arkisites audit 2022

In 2022, the department commissioned arkisites - a consultancy specialising in diversity and inclusion - to conduct an external review to audit staff and student recruitment and retention processes and to identify any structural barriersOur EDI Committee and Senior leadership team recently reviewed the recommendations and have drawn up an action plan to take forward the proposals.
