Following the 2016 referendum, some of the fiercest arguments over Brexit took place in parliament. This often brought the institution’s own role under criticism – including from some senior political figures. A new book by Meg Russell and Lisa James (the Constitution Unit, UCL) charts all of the twists and turns, and highs and lows, of The Parliamentary Battle Over Brexit. This event brings the authors into discussion with three senior figures who were closely engaged with the events described in the book.
