Audience: Age 18+ only

About the event
Join us in the Object Based Learning Lab for a special Research in Focus talk during National Pathology Week, highlighting the evocative potential of science and pathology collections in medical museums.
Speaker: Cornelia Thompson, UCL Doctoral Candidate
Framing medical museums as distinct and powerful heritage spaces, Cornelia Thompson's research considers the evocative potential of the objects in medical science and pathology collections. What draws visitors to these museums, and what is the value of engaging with these objects and histories? In addition to Cornelia's presentation, the UCL Collections team will offer a chance to handle some historical medical objects in an attempt to grapple with these questions.
