The Phantom Coach: A Ghost Story
Tickets £15, booking essential
On 15 April 1892 Amelia B. Edwards died.
Nicknamed the Queen of Egyptology, she bequeathed her collection of antiquities and a sum of money to University College London, leading to the establishment of what is now the Petrie Museum of Egyptian and Sudanese Archaeology. She also left behind a legacy as a journalist, traveller, novelist and writer of ghost stories…
132 years later, the Petrie Museum, in partnership with acclaimed theatre company Don’t Go into the Cellar!, is delighted to bring Amelia Edwards’ tales of the supernatural to the Museum for the first time.
Join us for an evening of the uncanny, where award-winning actor Jonathan Goodwin will be performing a dramatisation of The Phantom Coach in the atmospheric surroundings of our Egyptian collection.
