UCL Musical Theatre Society presents : 9 to 5 the Musical!
Based on the 1980s film of the same name, 9 to 5 is a joyous, satiric romp. Set in the 1970s, the musical follows three women: Violet who is a hardworking veteran of the company who has yet to be promoted (but the people she’s trained have), Doralee who is the boss' personal assistant who-despite being married - is pursued by her boss and Judy who has just started working after her husband left her for his secretary. Despite being three very different women, they bond over their annoyance at their boss, Franklin Hart, and the horrible ways he has treated each of them. The show is a bright, feminist, and funny revenge story featuring some great female characters. 9 to 5 also features a collection of catchy and bright numbers brought to you by Dolly Parton herself.
