An academic department of the UCL Faculty of Brain Sciences, the UCL Ear Institute is the largest and most broad-based academic unit for research into hearing and deafness in the UK with the aim to further understand and develop new advances and technologies in hearing and deafness. In close partnership with the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital at the Royal Free Hospital and with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), the UCL Ear Institute constitutes the largest single grouping of basic and clinical scientists in hearing and deafness in the UK. This unique position allows researchers and clinicians to remain at the cutting edge of investigations into undeveloped ears and deafness.
