Speaker: Professor Christine Petit, Institute Pasteur, Paris.  Title: "Hidden cortical deficits: therapeutic strategies" Host: Jonathan Gale

Professor Christine Petit, MD, PhD holds the chair of “Genetics and Cellular Physiology” at the College de France and is head of the “Genetics and Physiology of Hearing laboratory” (Inserm Unit UMRS 1120) at Institut Pasteur. In 2012, along with Prof Karen Steel, she was awarded The Brain Prize 'for their unique, world-leading contributions to our understanding of the genetic regulation of the development and functioning of the ear, and for elucidating the causes of many of the hundreds of inherited forms of deafness'.  

She is the founding Director of a new Hearing Institute that will open in Paris in 2018.  See https://research.pasteur.fr/en/call/hearing-institute/
