Orthodontic Department excel at British Orthodontic Society meeting

Students and staff were exceptionally successful at the recent 2017 British Orthodontic Society meeting in Manchester, winning the following prizes:
- Third year student Kate Parker was awarded the the J K Williams MOrth medal for the bicollegiate MOrth and also won the research poster prize - with Dr Fiona Ryan and Professor Susan Cunningham;
- Fellow third year students Lilia Wong, Manveer Basati and Kate Parker - with Mr Owaise Sharif and Miss Joanne Collins - won the audit poster prize;
- Samir Farmahan - student at the John Radcliffe Hospital Oxford and UCL Eastman Dental Institute - won the Houston Research prize for his MClinDent dissertation;
- Sama Al Junaid won 3rd prize for her MOrth clinical cases;
- Second year student Rupal Shah won the prize for the best research protocol;
Finally, staff members Professor Susan Cunningham, Miss Samantha Hodges and Mr Neil Pate won the prize for the best paper published in the Journal of Orthodontics in 2016 for the paper: Development of the Malocclusion Impact Questionnaire (MIQ) to measure the oral health-related quality of life of young people with malocclusion
