Abstract:
‘Online consulting in general practice using text, audio or video technologies is being implemented at pace in the UK. Online services are being developed and delivered by innovative private tech companies as well as by established NHS providers. Some people suggest that online consulting (‘digital first’) will replace face-to-face appointments as the main means of consulting in the near future. In this seminar Martin Marshall will explore the promise and risks of online consulting, as well as the politics and evidence underpinning this emerging digital revolution.’
