Biography
Charlie completed his first degree in Psychology at the University of Hull. Shortly after graduating, Charlie was employed as a healthcare assistant and activities coordinator for a care home which specialised in dementia and mental health. After a year of fulfilling this role, he began my MSc in Clinical Forensic Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King's College London. This course required him to work part-time as an assistant psychologist for the Forensic Intensive Psychological Treatment Service (FIPTS) at Lambeth hospital, which was also the location where he conducted his research project looking into the effectiveness of Behavioural treatment for Substance Abuse (BTSA) for community forensic patients. Charlie was awarded a studentship to conduct my PhD at UCL at the end of my MSc course, and will be focusing on the use of E-cigarettes as a form of harm reduction for tobacco smokers with mental health conditions.
