Internal signage

UCL's internal signs are are MSS (Modular Sign System) from Workshop 2 Limited, and distributed under licence from a number of approved suppliers. It is a flexible simple system as it has essentially two components; profiles and locking strip. Colours and finishes have been chosen to create a sophisticated feel, with a good matt finish to avoid finger marks and to give a good contrast to meet DDA accessibility requirements.

Common Door Sign Types

Sign Type K1(A5) - door sign (A5 size paper insert)

A perspex sign which allows a paper insert at A5 size to display room information with the flexibility to change to suit.
Size = 214mm x 190mm.
Supply Only budget cost of £30 - £40 per sign.

Sign Type K1(A4)- door sign (A4 size paper insert)

A perspex sign which allows a paper insert at A4 size to display room information with the flexibility to change to suit. 
Size = 214mm x 335mm.

Sign Type P3 - room or area sign

A small sign for a room or area where the name is permanent and will not require any change.
Size = 214mm x 100mm.

Sign Type P2 - door sign

A door sign to display a fixed room number and name e.g. store, kitchen and cleaner rooms ect.
Size = 214mm x 60mm.
Supply Only budget cost of £20 - £30 per sign.

Sign Type P1- door number only sign

A door sign to display the door number only e.g. riser / cupboards.
Size = 60mm x 60mm.
Supply Only budget cost of £20 - £30 per sign.

Directory Slat - slat for all directory wayfinding signs

Slat to display building / floor directory or wayfinding for room / area (arrow optional).
Size = 500mm x 30mm.
Supply Only budget cost of £20 - £30 per slat.
